Italian Club Of Mahopac Presents 10th Annual Miss Columbus Pageant

MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- The Italian-American Club of Mahopac and the Putnam County Columbus Day Festivities Committee are looking for the next big star.

The Italian-American Club of Mahopac and the Putnam County Columbus Day Festivities Committee will present the 10th Annual Miss and Little Miss Columbus Pageant on Aug. 28 in Mahopac.

The organizations will present the 10th Annual Miss and Little Miss Columbus Pageants at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 28 at the Italian-American Club of Mahopac, 141 Buckshollow Rd.

The Miss Columbus Pageant is open to girls ages 10-15, while the Little Miss Columbus Pageant is reserved for girls ages 5-9. Both contests are open to girls of all talents from throughout Putnam County and the greater community.

Contestants compete in three categories, including talent, evening gown/party dress, and a question-and-answer session. All contestants ride in the Columbus Parade float. Winners receive $200 or $100 in monetary prizes, a tiara and a sash.

Cost to enter is $10 per contestant. Deadline to enter is Aug. 5. Admission fee for family and friends is $5 per person, children under 4 get in free.
